In fact, Wes claims to be the first to create a psychedelic poster.He began working as a contact printer ran by a concert promoter. After attending the legendary trips festival he experienced life changing music, drugs, and love that would change his life forever. Later that year he left his job to work for himself and produce posters for musicians. His style could be described as peaceful, colorful, and transcending. Wilson also has said that he selects his colors and shapes form visual experiences with LSD. Because of his unique style Wes Wilson quickly brought his trippy psychedelic style into the mainstream and was featured in magazines like Time, Variety, and Life. He is most famous for poster arts done for bands in the late 60. Wes Wilson’s posters had an undeniable effect of the music culture and helped shape an era of peace and love.
